The Gist of It

We use Pastie quite a bit at work to share code.  Up ’til now it has served that pupose well.  In fact, one might wonder why even use a clone, since it has everything you need, right?  Well, it has everything you thought you needed… but how about the ability to fork that code snippet, review changes, embed it as a script in blog posts, and more?

Hello, gist-hub (from GitHub); goodbye, Pastie.

Above is a sample embedding a snippet gist, but if you navigate to the gist-hub site you will see everything you would expect for a source code tool–even a nifty heuristic analysis that determines what kind of code you pasted in!  Thanks to the folks at GitHub, we now have a new cool tool.
